About the Idaho State Dental Association

The Idaho State Dental Association (ISDA) is the statewide professional association for dentists in Idaho and the recognized ADA constituent for the state. ISDA frames its mission as helping 'dentists protect the dentist-patient relationship, strengthen their practices, and improve oral health for communities across Idaho.' It represents over 900 members and says it speaks for more than 70% of Idaho dental professionals.

Idaho is a mid-small, geographically large and largely rural state, so ISDA functions as the central voice of organized dentistry. Member dentists belong to the tripartite structure (ADA national, ISDA state, and a local district), and ISDA is affiliated with seven local district dental societies organized by region.

ISDA's core activities are advocacy (legislative and regulatory work protecting the practice of dentistry in Idaho), member services and practice support, and continuing education delivered chiefly through its Annual Session. Leadership runs through an elected officer slate — President, President-elect, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer — with Dr. Brooke Fukuoka serving as President in the cited 2025 roster.

Annual Meeting: ISDA Annual Session

Location and timing rotate; the ISDA maintains hotel, exhibitor, course-schedule, and speaker information for the event on its website.

The Annual Session is ISDA's flagship continuing-education and networking event, combining CE courses, an exhibit hall, and the association's business meeting.

Idaho Dental Market Snapshot

  • Roughly 900-1,000 practicing/licensed dentists across a large, fast-growing but heavily rural state.
  • Major metros: Boise / Meridian / Nampa (Treasure Valley), Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Coeur d'Alene, Twin Falls, Lewiston. The Treasure Valley is the dominant growth market.
  • Predominantly English-speaking with a growing Hispanic population in agricultural areas (Magic Valley, western Treasure Valley) — Spanish-capable front-desk handling is increasingly valuable.

AI Front Desk for Idaho Practices

Idaho's booming Treasure Valley and its many rural practices both strain front-desk capacity — fast-growing Boise/Meridian offices field high call volume while rural Magic Valley and Panhandle practices often run lean. An AI dental receptionist that answers 24/7, books and reschedules, and handles Spanish-speaking callers helps ISDA-member practices capture demand without scaling staff. Connecting to the ISDA district-society ecosystem positions TensorLinks as a growth-friendly efficiency partner for Gem State dentistry.
